During the late 1970's and throughout the 1980's, the 62 WHEN Basebreakers helped raise thousands of dollars for Central New York charities and civic organizations. During the summer months 62 WHEN's air personalities and staff traveled throughout the region playing before thousands of enthusiastic and dedicated listeners. It was frequently at these charity softball games where listeners were able to obtain the famous "62 WHEN License Plate" bumper sticker. A bumper sticker that to this day can sometimes be seen on re-runs of "WKRP in Cincinnati."
