Early 1980's
Prior to the installation of a new Pacific Recorders BMX22 board, this Sparta console was
the station's workhorse 24 hours a day. At the time the six slider pots on the right side
controlled levels (volumes) on 2 ITC 3 spots (tape cartridge machines). All music was on tape cartridges during the 70s and
80s at the Old Liverpool Road studios - 45s and LPs seldom were ever used on air.
