One of the great radio voices to pass through Syracuse, Ray Diorio. And a man whose name seemed to make him destined for a career in radio. Many who often listened to Ray will also remember hearing him as the friendly voice behind the "Tops and Bottoms" clothing chain's commercials as well as the voice for Pittsburgh based, Dad's Dog Food Inc. Ray left 62 WHEN Radio for mornings in the Mobile / Pensacola market before eventually returning to his hometown of Binghamton where he ended his career. Ray succumbed to a heart attack in June of 1999.
