steer this thing?
For those of you at home keeping score, and who note such trivial matters... In the above photo you'll see that the station by 1984 has opted to replace the ubiquitous Electro-Voice RE-20 microphone, which had been the standard in the
studio for years, with a different microphone. The Electo-Voice RE-20 is the microphone that is frequently seen in radio stations from coast to coast and they are pretty much considered the standard for radio studio mics.
The microphone hanging over the Pacific Recorders BMX board happens to be a Sennheiser MD421.
