62 WHEN Air Personality Cliff Korradi 1971
According to Cliff, this photo was used in a newspaper ad promoting his show and Howard Johnson frozen foods. "...At that time, in the early 1970s, Syracuse was a frequent test market for various products and my show was used exclusively to sell Howard Johnsons Frozen Clam Strips. I remember getting a nice letter from the Howard Johnson distributor saying the campaign was enormously successful and thanking me for my involvement."

Back then personalities on the air included Jack Morse, Morning Drive, Cliff in Middays 10 AM to 3, Deane Parkhurst, PM Drive 3 til till 7 and Doug Neufeld evenings. Paul Neal was the utility infielder, covering all shifts where needed and weekends. Paul may also have headed up "Call For Action", a community affairs program, as well as doing some station promotion work.

In the very early 70s WHEN was still a CBS affiliate with network news at the top of the hour and reporters from the TV side doing local news. Some of the staff in the news department at the time: Rod Wood, Larry Price and Jerry Fidel.
